MP4 and MOV containers can carry descriptive tags beside the media. Metadata Strip (container purge) removes leaky EXIF, GPS, and device fields so the file you upload to Shorts, TikTok, Reels, or Pinterest does not ship capture leftovers from your phone or NLE.
